Ugh - I Must Have a Big Head!

WIPhat
So I've been working on a slouchy hat for the past few days for those bad hair days or for the days I just don't feel like dealing with my hair. I would like to say I don't have those days very often, but keeping it real, it happens more than I would like to admit. I found a cute slouchy hat pattern, some cranberry yarn I liked, which by the way this picture does not do a good job of depicting, and hat making I went.

I finished the hat last night and it's not slouchy enough! Either the hat is too small or my head is too big!

Ugh!

I tried stretching it, pulling, tugging, and still not enough slouch! I'm so disappointed! I really liked the pattern, so I guess I'm going to try again, but add a few more rows for my big head! If this one doesn't work, I'm going to take that as a sign that I need to start doing my hair more often!

  2. Is there any chance you could block it to be big enough? It is so discouraging when knitting project fails! Hopefully you can make it work.

  3. Sorry about your hat - that's so frustrating!

  4. Finally! Someone who has the same problem I do! I have only ever knitted one hat in my entire knitting career that has been "slouchy". Ugh. I completely understand how you feel.

  5. Hopefully a few "bonus" rows will do the trick!
