Undercover Pedicure
I love getting a pedicure. I found this great salon right down the street from me that has the best massage chairs, because that's one of the things I love about getting a pedicure, sitting in the massage chair. I went the other day to get a pedicure. My feet were looking and feeling rough, plus I had the beginnings of an ingrown toenail...ouch! The last time I went for a pedicure it was slow and the one guy that works there gave me the pedicure. He did such a good job. He massaged my legs for such a long time, I think I actually fell asleep. I was looking forward to it again. Unfortunately, Mr. Massage Man was busy with another customer, dang it. So one of the women did my pedicure. It started out alright. The water wasn't hot enough, but I figured I wouldn't complain. The massage chair was feeling great and I was texting my friend Susan (in TX) on the Blackberry, enjoying my pampering session when the torture began. The nail technician (is that what they are called) had finished my feet/toes and started to massage my legs. Or beat them up I should say. Now anyone who has gotten a pedicure knows that when they massage your legs, they kind of punch your legs. I'm not sure if "punch" is the right word, but you know what I mean. It normally feels good, but this lady was beating the heck out of my legs. I sort of flinched and she just looked at me and proceeded to beat me. I was wishing I had a camera, camcorder or something to record it all, but thought it would be pretty strange to take pictures during my pedicure, but then I remembered, my new blackberry has a camera and a video camera! I made sure the flash was off and took some pictures. I wanted to take video of my beating, but she had stopped by the time I remembered my blackberry had a video. I felt like I was doing an undercover story, secretly snapping pictures. I think I need to call MSNBC and tell them I could be one of their expose agents. What do you think? Here are my secret spy pictures. More undercover, secret expose adventures to come.

Life's Little Moments 365 - 1
I've decided since it's almost a new year to do a 365 project. What is a 365 project you ask? Well, I have committed to take a photo/photos a day for 365 days, titled Life's Little Moments, because really, a lifetime is just a bunch of little moments. I also decided to start tonight and not January 1, because everyone knows if you make a new year's resolution (which this is not), it never lasts. So here's to the start of Life's Little Moments 365.

Wii Mania
While Fonzy and the boys have been doing alot of this...
My butt has been stuck to the recliner with my new massager I got for Christmas. That is, when I'm not cooking, cleaning and waiting on Fonzy and the boys hand and foot.
And while they have another week off to play Wii and lounge around all day, the lady of the house must go back to work tomorrow. My so called break has ended. Just doesn't seem fair, does it?

All I want for Christmas....
....is my 2 front teeth. Well, one in Elijah's case. Fonzy just pulled out one of his front teeth. So we get a visit from Santa and the tooth fairy in the same night!
Well, I was just informed by the boys that Santa and the tooth fairy do not come on the same night. According to their daddy, if they see each other they would holler AAAAAAAAAAAH!!!! And scare each other away.
Memories
It's after midnight and I'm tired, but I'm not complaining because I'm tired for a good reason. We were busy making memories. Karen and I made cookies with the boys today, and I think we had more fun than them. We had Christmas music playing, we were talking, laughing, reminiscing, and just having a good time. It's been a while since we've had so much fun. We really need to do it more often.

Getting ready for Santa
Sprinkle on the lawn at night
The moon will make it sparkle bright
As Santa's reindeer fly and roam
This will guide them to your home.
****************************************************
We're getting ready for Santa's arrival tomorrow. We're baking cookies today for Santa and have the magic reindeer food ready. Are you ready for Santa's big night?
Here's the recipe for magic reindeer food.
Ingredients:
1 cup sugar
1 cup instant oatmeal
1 cup glitter (cookie glitter, red or green)
Mix everything together and scatter around outside.
The boys and I will be sprinkling it out back tomorrow night and tracking Santa's journey here.

I love this time of year...to see Christmas through my boys eyes, and to be a child again if only for this one day.

Creativity
I'm not very creative. I want to be, but I was not gifted with any special talent. Well, at least any that I've discovered. I've been searching for something I do well. Writing, photography, knitting, drawing, belly dancing. What is it??? I'm not really sure. I just keep trying new things and maybe something will click. How do you find what your gift is?
With the boys being bored, I decided to try art. I needed something to keep them busy, so why not join them, right. You can see my attempt above. I tried giving my drawing hair, but it just didn't look right. She looked better without hair, so I left her bald. Bald is beautiful. At least on my drawing. Fonzy claimed my drawing looked like a 5th grader did it. I haven't decided if that is a compliment or not. I don't think it's too bad. I actually had fun drawing and it was quality time spent with the boys. Time I normally don't spend with them.

On the way to get art supplies, in all my no make-up glory
Christmas Break
We are all on break this week....no work, no school. It's just Monday and the boys are already bored. That didn't take long at all. I'm thinking of heading to the dollar store or Michaels to find some sort of crafts to do. We need something to keep us busy and watching TV all day is not it.
I finished Twilight. It was OK. Not wait in line for hours for movie tickets good, but I will read the next in the series. I want to know what happens between Bella and Edward. Is he going to bite her or what? Of course I'm on the waiting list at the library for the next book, so I started Water for Elephants. It's good so far.
OK...the boys are ready to go. Later!

Just stirrin' something up
I've never made fresh green beans before, until today. I've decided to try new things with cooking, eating healthier and cutting back on eating fast food. I've gotten tons of recipes online and am starting this new year as a person who enjoys cooking. No longer am I going to say I hate to cook. I'm changing my whole attitude. This is just the beginning.
The beans smelled so fresh when I was cutting them.
My recipe binder. Yes, I needed a recipe for green beans. I wasn't sure if I needed to chop off the ends or not. I know, that is pretty pathetic, but I'm use to canned or frozen green beans.
Pork tenderloin to go with my green beans...it was very tasty and my green beans were yummy. I will never go back to frozen or canned beans again!
