Happily Bright ZigZag and Babydoll 3

zigzag3

So this past weekend, I was suppose to start on my first pair of socks....didn't happen. Sunday was a cold, rainy, deary day, so I decided to start an afghan. I have fallen in love with all the crocheted blankets out in blogland, but since I can't crochet, I needed a knit pattern. After searching many patterns on Ravelry, I settled on this one - Zig Zag Afghan. The pattern is easy and I'm really enjoying the zig zag pattern.

I wanted an acrylic yarn that is durable and washable. My favorite is Red Heart. The main color is Bikini. I love this yarn because of all it's bright colors. Pairing it with an even brighter pink, orange and white and I'm on my way to a SUPER BRIGHT afghan! I'm loving it already! Looking at the bright colors make me happy, hence the name,

Happily Bright ZigZag.

I'm hoping to have it done by Fall, but the way I'm going I may get it done before then!

babydoll3I'm working on 2 babydolls at the same time. This is Babydoll 3. Look....I've become like other knitters and have more than one WIP! Yay me! :)

I LOVE the colours you've chosen for your afgan. I still need to write my WIP post...I've been super busy today.

I love the zig zag! I can't crochet either so this is perfect for my next stash busting. Going to Ravelry now to save it in the queue. Thanks!

Mami Dearest

This blog is to share my life as a Wife and a Mom to 4 boys, but also about my journey of being a Mom to a murdered child. My oldest son Samuel was shot and killed on May 23, 2009 at the age of 19. Life goes on after the death of a child, but it is never the same. This is my life...the pain, the sorrow, but also the love and happiness that is still in my life.
