Monster Madness!

monster madness

Happy Friday!

So, as you can see the Babydoll did not make today's FO Friday. I've been sidetracked. My youngest son is going with my sister and nephew to see the Lorax tomorrow and have green eggs and ham at IHop, so he asked that I make him a Lorax. I started it last night and will knit like crazy today to get him done for tomorrow morning. Oh the things we do for our kids :)

As you can see, we've been invaded by Monsters!

Everyday when we get  home from work/school my son runs to the mailbox to see if any new monsters have arrived. We get so excited to see a package! The knitting/crocheting community is so awesome! When I posted about my Monster Mission of Love, the response was more than I could have hoped for. I mean, look at all those happy monsters, ready to bring smiles to kids in foster care. I am delivering the monsters this weekend to the foster mom.

I still have other monsters on the way and have been thinking about sharing the monsters with other foster families. If you would like to donate to the cause, leave me a message in the comments section or PM me on Ravelry. My username is isaida.

For more crafty, yarny goodness check out FO Friday here and Creative Friday here.

Have a great weekend everyone!

Mami Dearest

This blog is to share my life as a Wife and a Mom to 4 boys, but also about my journey of being a Mom to a murdered child. My oldest son Samuel was shot and killed on May 23, 2009 at the age of 19. Life goes on after the death of a child, but it is never the same. This is my life...the pain, the sorrow, but also the love and happiness that is still in my life.
