WIP Wednesday - Coffee Monster

coffee monster

This is my first time participating in WIP(work in progress) Wednesday. I've been checking out all the old WIP Wednesday posts and finding so many great blogs and projects.

My WIP is Elijah's coffee monster for his teacher. I wanted to make his teacher a little ornament, but Elijah insisted she needed a monster and that she LOVES coffee. So coffee monster was born. It's one of Rebecca Danger's pattern from her Big Book of Knitted Monsters. We picked out this yarn for it's coffee colors. Dark coffee, cafe au lait, and cream. What's better than coffee and monsters? I say it's a great combination!

  1. I love the Rebecca Danger monsters - I have that book and I'm hoping to get chance to knit a monster for someone for Christmas - if I finish all the other Christmas knitting first that is!

I love the idea of a coffee monster - I know a few of those myself ;)

  2. I think Elijah's right -- all teachers need monsters. And this one's going to be super cute in his coffee colors! Welcome to WIPW!

Love your photo - that little snowman is too cute. I hope to see your monster on FO Friday at some time as I'm hoping for that book for Christmas.

  8. Having made two Rebecca Danger monsters this year, I can say that they are so much fun to make and gift. Love the colors that you chose, very appropriate for a coffee monster.
