Weekend Recap - Ty's house

Nothing better than a weekend spent with family.

After going through all my pictures I realized I had no pictures of Tyrone or myself. Wow....it's like we weren't even there. I really need to teach the boys how to use my camera. They are going to look back at all our pictures, and I won't be in half of them. I wish I had more pictures of my mom, so I really need to make a conscience effort to use my tripod and remote more often and get in the picture, instead of being that phantom being behind the lens. Oh well....even though Ty and I weren't in the pictures we were there and had a good time.

Love Life

Walking into the garage after Elijah's basketball game, I noticed the bin of sidewalk chalk and suddenly had an urge to draw. I told Fonzy and the boys, and they all looked at me kinda funny. What? The urge hit me, so out to the driveway I went.

As I sat on the driveway, I noticed how warm the concrete was....it felt good. I listened to the boys as they rode their bikes, talking loud, laughing, being boys. I sat there, enjoying the summer evening....taking it all in.
Being in the moment.

I had no idea what I wanted to draw. But as I sat there, I realized that I love my life. I love my husband, I love my boys, I love the life we've created together. No matter what kind of day I'm having, they always seem to make me smile....and that's the message that came out with the chalk.

Been doing a lot of knitting lately. At baseball games, basketball games, the pool, on the back patio, in front of the TV, any and everywhere! I'm learning new techniques and getting better! I have a list of Monsters I want to make for Christmas gifts. Gifts that I thought I could get done last year, but never did. Ooops...

Also, on my list is socks! I will learn to knit socks before this year is up! Yep! Watch me.

Summer Dazes

Summer is in full swing. We've gone swimming, had BBQ's, played baseball, basketball and been to the beach. In the evenings we hang out on the back patio, relaxing after the long day. We plan on doing more of the same....
