Take me out to the ballgame
We were up bright and early this morning for Ezekiel's first game of the season...at the field before 9am on a Saturday! I guess I shouldn't complain, the morning was beautiful and I didn't need to sleep in. I am just not a morning person.
In the dugout waiting to start the game and probably trying to get fully awake.
Fonzy and Elijah practicing before the game starts
cheering on their teammate
Fonzy and Elijah watching the game
wishing he was out on the field. His games don't start until May.
practicing before his turn to bat
it looks like Ezekiel hit the ball, unfortunately he struck out.
It was a really good game, game was tied, but we lost.
There's always next weekend...bright and early on Saturday morning.

TGIF!
*picture taken with Blackberry while driving...I know, I need to stop that!
Today is going to be a gorgeous day....sunny, and in the 70's! I'm ready for the warm weather. Bring it on!
While driving into work this morning, there was a truck in front of me with a basset hound enjoying this beautiful morning, his ears flapping in the wind as he stuck his head out the window. I took it upon myself to name him Butch.
Man...my windsheild really needs to be cleaned huh?

Knitting Update
This is the bear I am working on for The Mother Bear Project. This is my first stuffed toy, so we will see how it goes. I love the bright colors.....you know Puerto Ricans love bright colors! The brighter the better! Hopefully there is a little girl in Africa, or where ever my bear ends up that likes bright colors.
Pictures of my scarf coming soon, I swear! I'm also trying to figure out what project to start next. I have a few hat patterns, another scarf....this one for Fonzy in Texas Longhorn colors, and some stuffed toys for the boys. So many projects, so little time.
Easter Morning
Before church Easter morning, I took the boys outside to take Easter shots. You couldn't tell Ezekiel a thang......he was Mr. GQ with his new glasses/shades. Elijah was Elijah. I had to coax him into acting somewhat normal. He insists on acting crazy no matter what.
Then Big Daddy showed up!
I love this one....this is getting framed!
I like this one too....showing off their muscles.
Last, but not least...I had to get Fonzy to take a picture of me and the boys.

Knitting Obsessed!
I have become slightly obsessed with knitting lately. I think I've checked out almost all the knitting books our public library system owns. I've been pouring over patterns, and have spent way too much time on Ravelry. My scarf is finished except binding off the needles, and adding some fringe to the ends, oh and weaving in the extra yarn. So I guess I'm not really done huh? I have no clue how to bind off (get the scarf off the needles). I need to go online and watch a "How to" video or attend a Knitting meetup for help. That's on my agenda for this week, and to get started with a bear I'm making for The Mother Bear Project. I have some plush toys I want to knit for the boys, but want to do something easy first, so this was it. I'm thinking of all the great Christmas gifts I can make. And the way I'm going I need to get started on them NOW, so I can have them done by Christmas.
I think I've really taken to knitting because my mom use to knit. It's kind of a way to share something with her, have something in common. Know what I mean? There's just so much to learn. Work is kind of slow right now and I'm wishing I could whip out my knitting. But I don't think that would go over too well. They are not paying me to knit or blog for that matter :)

Bustin' Loose
Yeah, that was me Friday at work. The jeans were kind of tight when I put them on, but I figured they would loosen up as the day went on. They loosened up alright. This is how it all played out. I had to take a walk to our other building to pick up some things from the receptionist. So off I go to the other building. I had to walk through a parking lot, (which was full of service men) and into the building where all the executives are, you know, the CEO, CFO of the company, all the bigwigs. I pick up my package from the receptionist and mosey my way back across the packed parking lot to my desk...not a care in the world. As soon as I get to my desk, I get a call from the receptionist, goes a little something like this…
Receptionist: “Um (insert my name here)…..you may want to check the back of your pants”
Me: “The back of my pants????” (feeling the back of my pants)
Me: “OH MY GOSH!”
I had a fairly long shirt on, so I pulled the shirt down to cover my behind. I really didn’t know how bad it was until a few minutes later when Karen and I left for lunch. Of course as soon as I show her, she fell out laughing! I had her take a picture with my phone. I could not believe how bad the tear was when I saw the picture! And who knows how long I had been walking around like that and no one told me. It was lunch time already! Who at my job that morning saw my stripped drawls! Karen could not stop laughing. I was just praying my manager did not see that. How embarrassing! You know the commercials for Southwest, “need to get away?” Yeah, that was me. I got a sweater from Karen that covered my behind and we went back to work. I sent an e-mail to the receptionist thanking her for telling me about my pants and this is what she sent back…
“We debated if you were doing it to be sexy today or you were testing to see who your friends are.
Enjoy your weekend.
One of your friends,”
I couldn’t help but laugh. But wait…that’s not all. So Monday morning I come into work and I have an e-mail from my boss, wanting me to send out a note regarding dress code...
I have noticed that in recent weeks that our Casual Friday attire in some area’s is getting a little too casual; before the weather picks up I just want to ensure that we remind everyone of the requirements for Casual attire. Please take a moment to look at the information below which comes from our Employee Handbook and defines what is and is not acceptable.

"Enquiring Minds want to know, is this because of The Sexy Friday Lady?"
"Enquiring Minds want to know, is this because of The Sexy Friday Lady?"
Who knows! I would hope it wasn't because of me but if so, there is nothing I can do about it now....except laugh!
HAHAHAHAHAHA!
side note: as soon as I got home, the pants went in the trash!

Daddy's Hands
Daddy's Hands
Works hard every day to provide for our needs
Points to words in books as we sit together and read
Chases away monsters in our closet and under our beds
Makes sure my tummy is always fed
Whips our butts when we are bad
And gives us hugs when we are sad
Teaches us to throw a ball
Picks us up whenever we fall
Cuts our hair when it grows wild
Makes sure we always have style
Shows us how to be a man
Always tries to understand
Unconditional love is what we get
Without Daddy’s hands’ we wouldn’t make it!
