The Instagram addiction continues.
I love capturing the little moments in our life.
Even though we've struggled a little, we are all happy, healthy and I couldn't ask for anything more.
Life is good.

Ouch!
This is what happens when you carry too many bags, and wear high heels! And maybe being a little uncoordinated doesn't help either.

Sunflower Journey
So anyone who reads my blog or follows me on Facebook or Twitter knows about my sunflower journey. I was so excited to be planting sunflowers and have been waiting anxiously like a kid on Christmas for them to bloom!
And bloom they have!
I said I would be happy if just one bloomed, but I actually have a few blooming. My only disappointment is they didn't get to their full height potential. The package said they could reach 5ft to 7ft. These are no where near that height. The problem I think is they are not in full sunlight all day. The fence has them in shade some of the day.
Duh!
They are sunflowers!
I've studied our backyard to see what gets full sun, all day long and the only place is right smack dab in the middle of the yard. I told Fonzy(hubby) I wanted to plant my sunflower there next year. He was not trying to hear me!
So I have a dilemma - where do I plant my sunflowers next year? Because I am planting them again! My option right now is to plant them in a huge planter that I can move around - chasing the sun all day. I'm not really feeling that option. Fonzy seems to like it.
I'm going to enjoy the flowers that did bloom and hopefully next year I can find the right spot and they will reach their full potential.

BabyDoll # 2 - WIP Wednesday/Yarn Along
It's been a few weeks since I've joined in on WIP Wednesday and Yarn Along. I have been knitting, just on the same things as before. I'm working on Babydoll # 2 and my Happy, Bright ZigZag.
I've made progress on both, but really trying to finish this babydoll. She's all put together, just needs, eyes, hair and clothes. The dress is actually finished now. That was Saturday at my son's baseball tournament. It was over 100 degrees and I was knitting! Hey - never too hot to knit! I would say I'd like to have the babydoll done for this FO Friday, but it probably won't be. Maybe by next week.
Here's my first babydoll and last pics of ZigZag.

HOT! ~ Summer Catch Up ~ Part 2
As everyone knows, it's been HOT the past week or so. Like 100 degrees and above HOT!
Fonzy has been trying to keep our grass alive and green and is normally outside in the evening watering it. He can be out there for over an hour watering grass!
And when it's 100 degrees and sprinklers are running, what better to do than jump in!
I remember running through the sprinkler when I was kid. We didn't use the sprinker to water the grass back then, it was for pure kid enjoyment!
And many years later - my boys enjoy it too!
Days of Summer ~ Catching up ~ Part 1
Summer is in full swing and I've gotten lax on the blog front - they are called lazy days of summer right?
I've taken plenty of photos though, so going to play catch up in parts.
No summer is complete without a trip, or 2 or 3 to the beach. I could spend everyday at the beach, but unfortunately Fonzy and boys are not real fans of the beach. The day we went it was about 100 degrees, but I didn't care.
The boys spent most of the time in the water.
I'm hoping to get at least 1 or 2 more trips before summer is over.

13!
13!
We celebrated Ezekiel's 13th birthday this weekend at the beach.
13!
Where has the time gone! I swear it doesn't seem that long ago that he was a baby. In one more year he will be in high school! Soon he will be dating and making his way in this world.
Right now, he's still a happy kid, with hints of the teen he will be. I need time to slow down just a little bit....
