I'm so glad I live in a world where there are Octobers. ~ L.M. Montgomery, Anne of Green Gables
October is by far my favorite month. And this year, it has flown by! I need another month of October right after this one! I'm going to miss all my pumpkins when it's time to put them away until next year. I haven't made anywhere near all the pumpkin goodies I wanted, but at least I still have November for pumpkin baking.
The days are getting shorter and it's finally cooling down. For a while there it was feeling more like summer than fall. It will be nice to have a fire going in the fireplace while we lounge around. Sweaters, thick woolly socks, blankets to cuddle under. It's all just so cozy this time of year. And I love it all! Can fall go on forever and ever please.

Back Screened Porch
I've never really been a fan of screened in porches. I figured if you have a porch, why would you screen it in. Kind of defeated the purpose of having a porch was my thinking....until now.
I love this little space. Sipping on morning coffee, or winding down with a glass of wine at the end of the day. It beckons you to come sit a spell, and just BE. And I've been more than happy to answer.

Ugly Tree
When we decided to buy our house, I knew this wild looking tree had to go! Why someone would plant it so close to the walkway and another tree was beyond me. The leaning evergreen bush had to go too. It blocked the front porch view. I can't tell you how happy I was when the trees were gone! Now all you see is the beautiful porch and a clear walkway to the driveway. No more walking through cobwebs from the trees. It changed the whole front of the house and made it more ours.

Home - a month in
We have been in our new home a little over a month now, and I must say I love it more with each passing day. Besides a few boxes in the garage, everything has found its place. As you can see in my previous post, we made a few changes in the kitchen, and I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the kitchen. We've cut a few trees from the front of the house, put a picket fence around the backyard for Titus and both porches have the furniture we wanted and have become places we love to hang. During the moving process, I didn't think we would ever get to this point and now I'm so happy and thankful to be here!
