First Day of School

The day all parents love - back to school day! Ezekiel is starting middle school! It shoule be a little easier for him since he is going to school with Fonzy. But then again, he may not like going to school where his Daddy is a teacher. We'll see how it goes.

Elijah is in 3rd grade in a magnet school for Spanish. They get Spanish instruction everyday. I'm hoping he can learn some Spanish and maybe even teach us some!

Driving to school this morning, Elijah said it was weird going to school without Ezekiel. This is their first year going to different schools. I told him they will be in school together again, when he is a freshman in high school and Ezekiel a senior. What fun!

Up earlier than I wanted to be since I'm working from home this week, but enjoyed the quiet before the boys got up wanting breakfast.

Hanging on to summer vacation

This is the boys last week of summer vacation. School starts next week Wednesday. This is the first summer they got to stay home with Fonzy, so it was a true summer break. No getting up early for summer camp. They got to stay up late and sleep in. There was swimming everyday, bike riding and just playing in the backyard. Life was good! But all good things must come to an end. Fonzy is back to work tomorrow and the boys have this week to savor the last bit of summer. Come next week, it's back on schedule. Both boys will be in new schools. Ezekiel starts middle school and will be going to school with Fonzy and Elijah also starts a new school. A magnet school for Spanish! I'm loving that. Maybe he can come home and teach me some Spanish!

I must admit, I'm glad it's back to school time. It was rough coming to work every morning while they enjoyed the summer. Yes - I'm a hater!

Football season is here!

The boys started football last week. We look forward to football season every year. This is the first year the boys have played in this league and it's competitive. After the first practice, the boys were saying this league in no joke! They take football seriously! They practice Monday - Friday 6:30 - 8:30! Can't wait to see how this season goes!






Phew! That was rough!
