Myrtle Beach to be exact. The one time we'd been to Myrtle Beach was about 10 years ago and we weren't impressed. The highlight of our trip back then was House of Blues. They had a great local band that played old R&B music and Ezekiel, then about 5 or 6 danced the night away.

I can do without all the amusement rides, and chaos of Myrtle Beach. Give me a quiet beach, a blanket and I'm happy. Since the boys are older and would probably like all the amusement, we decided to give Myrtle another chance.

We left Friday with cloudy skies, and rain throughout the 3 hour drive. Not the best beach weather, but good for knitting. Once we arrived in Myrtle, the clouds broke and the sun shone through. We got there in time to check out the beach at sunset and have dinner.

Fonzy and Elijah aren't big on pictures, but luckily I have Ezekiel. He'll humor me and let me take pictures. I think he got his Elvis pose perfect! And wished to be Big like Tom Hanks in "Big"

I have so many pictures of the weekend, and there is no way I could include them all in one post, so going to break up our Myrtle trip in a few posts.
